Very nice lithography or etching, depicting a view of the sea in the moonlight in Britain, signed Chabanian * vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This lithograph is in very good condition and frame. It is numbered 24 of 250. A report: a corner of the glass is cracked see pictures.

 

* Arsene Chabanian (1864-1949): painter of landscapes and seascapes, engraver, working in Paris, he became a pupil of Gustave Moreau. Got an honorable mention in 1896 at the Salon of French Artists and another at the Exposition Universelle of 1900 he exhibited at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and exhibited at Brussels in 1910. He became a Knight of the Legion of Honor in the same year. He took part in the Salon of French Artists in 1939 and the Independents in 1943.
