Burning Eve in the Garden of Eden by Albert Decaris 20th century

Etching etching representing a mythological scene of a sleeping woman in a lush garden at the edge of a waterfall, probably Eve in the Garden of Eden, signed Decaris *, vintage twentieth century.

This print is in good condition. It is signed lower right and is numbered 10/100.

A report: the glass is broken at the bottom left, the paper is slightly yellowed (small), see pictures.

* Decaris Albert (1901-1988): French painter and engraver. He has worked extensively in watercolor, often to prepare his engravings, and numerous engraved stamps. Trained in graphic arts at the École Estienne, then at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Atelier Cormon, he received the first e Prix de Rome in 1919 for burning a work titled "Eve before sin". He designed and engraved stamps French, colonies and territories French overseas from 1935 to 1985. He is considered one of the great designers and engravers of postage stamps, with about 500 to 600 stamps made.
