Small round paperolle* reliquary, in a horn case, dedicated to several Saints including Saint Victoire and the Agnus (Dei) from the 19th century.

This reliquary is in good overall condition. The other labels are difficult to read.

Please note: small cracks on the edge of the box and a crack on the glass, wear and tear, see photos.

*Paperrolle:

A craft technique that involves rolling narrow strips of paper to create various ornamental shapes and patterns. Paperolle is a very old technique used in the Middle Ages in poor churches to imitate gold or silver filigree decorations. The creations were often reliquaries called paperolle reliquaries. Paperolle is a term derived from papier. It refers not only to the technique, but also to the paper creation. The term rolled paper is sometimes used as a synonym.
