Small secretary of lady Louis XVI satin veneer (and various species of veneer), fluted sections in trompe-l'oeil, opening to a flap with writing desk discovering small drawers and lockers and two leaves in the lower part (with closed compartment), a drawer in belt, gray marble top, stamped J. Chastel *, vintage late eighteenth century.

This secretary is in very good condition. We have his key, the locks work. The ornaments are finely chiseled gilt bronze, decorated with knots and floral pattern. It is stamped to see pictures.

* J. Chastel: cabinetmaker working in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Referenced in the book "The cabinetmakers of the nineteenth 1795-1889" D. Ledoux-Lebard.

A note: some traces of restorations on the veneer (tiny slits, some scratches, tiny grafts), the leather of the writing desk is a little worn, micro-chips on the edge of the marble, wear of time, look at the photos.
