Painted wooden altarpiece, leaves decorated with bouquets of colorful flowers opening onto a niche with a sculpture of the Virgin of the Assumption of Conceicao, standing on a crescent moon, wearing a flowery habit, from the Hispanic colonies of South America or Salvador de Bahia, from the 18th century.
This altarpiece is in good overall condition, beautiful quality. The eyes of the Virgin are made of glass.
Please note: the Virgin's hands are missing (they should have been joined), some accidents and lack of polychromy on the statuette, cracks and wear on the altarpiece, wear of time, take a good look at the photos.
