A small, carved wooden religious statue depicting a saintly bishop. He wears his traditional mitre, his liturgical vestments consisting of a chasuble and a stole embroidered with a cross; and, most importantly, he holds his episcopal crosier (carved from ox bone) in his right hand. 19th century.
This sculpture is in good overall condition. It has a hole drilled underneath (for mounting).
Note: his left hand is missing, there is soiling on the left hand that holds the crossbeam (perhaps an old repair?), wear and tear from time, see photos.
