Goldsmith appointed to the court and the family of Emperor Napoleon I and, as such, it benefited from prestigious orders of the Emperor and his family: the scepter and the sword of the Rite, the birthplace of the King of Rome, the immense services of Madame Mère and Pauline Borghese, the field service of the Emperor ... He is the grand-son of Jean Baptiste Gaspard Odiot himself goldsmith, creator of home Odiot still active in 2011. Jean-Baptiste Claude was influenced by the return of classic Greek and Egyptian motifs that are found in the Executive and Empire styles. Models created by Odiot at this time is marked by the frequent use of vermeil. His son Charles Nicolas Odiot (1789-1868) who excelled in the rococo style, succeeded his father and became the official supplier of Louis-Philippe and the royal family of Orleans.
