These ewers are in good general condition, in their juice, very decorative.

* Nicknamed "Demoiselle d'Avignon", these anthropomorphic pitchers were made in Turkey in the town of Cannakalé, a small port located on the Dardanelles strait. Filled with essence of roses, they were imported by sea to the port of Marseille and reused as table pitchers in Provence. For the domestic market, the glaze was white or brown, while for export to Provence, green, yellow or purple prevailed.
