Mustard in solid silver finely chiselled and perforated with decoration of foliage and flowers, punch Minerve (1st title) and PB for Philippe Berthier, of Napoleon III XIXth century.

This mustard planter is in good condition. He has his glassware and his spoon maybe not original but that suits him well (punch Minerva, illegible goldsmith)

* Philippe Berthier:

The workshop of Philippe Berthier, prolific goldsmith of the Second Empire, is located at the beginning of his activity at 23 rue aux Ours, then 63 Beaufort Passage and finally 21 rue Quincampoix. He inscribed his first punch "P a garden well B" on 1 June 1841; the punch is crossed out on June 28, 1845. A second punch "P a woodcock B" is inscribed on June 5, 1847 and the same punch is again insculated on June 20, 1851. The production of Philippe Berthier consists of tastevins, soup tureens, coffee, tea and chocolate with their sub-cups, timpani, several types of spoons such as, among others, glass spoons of water with pillon, etc. (cf site silvercollection)
