Sword or sword of infantry, gilded bronze handle decorated with flutes, steel blade signed Jean for Hyacinthe Jean * (14778-1841), numbered 2783, Louis-Philippe / Napoleon III nineteenth century.
This sword is in good condition, in its own juice. Signed see pictures. Hyacinthe Jean was an arquebusier and baker in Toulon who would have been a student of Boutet, his armory will last from 1845 to 1855. In service under Louis-Philippe and Napoleon III, this sword is the descendant of the swords of the French army (inaugurated with the 1771 model of artillery).
