* PAUL DUPRÉ-LAFON (1900-1971):

Descendant of a family of industrialists and great merchants of Marseilles, Paul Dupré-Lafon is formed the school of the Beaux-Arts of his hometown until 1923. He is illustrated as of 1924 by the realization of the headquarters of the Weill house. In 1929, the young Dupré-Lafon is definitely on the Paris scene as he signs all the furniture of a four-storey mansion overlooking Parc Monceau. This set also seals the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration with Hermès; which will find its apogee in the years 1950-1960 with the edition of many accessories of offices as well as the marketing of the valet de nuit. Discreet and solitary, Dupré-Lafon will expose little and will belong to no group.
