Old hunting knife, carved horn handle, gilded bronze guard decorated with hunting dogs attacking wild boars, Damasquinée blade signed Coulaux Frères * and Klingenthal decorated hunting scenes and attributes of hunting, sheath bronze and leather , adorned with a wolf head, XIXth century.

This knife is in its own juice. High quality. The blade is signed see photos.

A note: the blade is oxidized and pricked, a few small slots in the handle, the sheath is damaged (the blade does not fit completely in, should be greased), wear time, look at the photos.

* Coulaux:

From 1801 to 1836, Jacques and Julien Coulaux were successively director of Manufacture Impériale d'armes blanches and the Royal Manufacture of Klingenthal. In 1838, the Manufacture Royale was bought. Julien Coulaux sells the company to his son. The company becomes Coulaux Aîné & Cie. In 1840, Charles-Louis Coulaux became the owner and manager of the factories of Molsheim, Gresswiller, Mutzig and Klingenthal. The company is then called Coulaux & Cie. From 1887 to 1925, it is the son of Charles-Louis Coulaux who runs the company Coulaix & Cie SA.
