Globe or globe, drawn by the geographer J.Forest *, 17 rue de Buci in Paris, scale of 80,000,000, blackened wooden base, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This globe is in good condition, it is in its own juice. It is signed on the side.

A note: some accidents and depressions on the globe, stains, scratches and wear of time, some wear and lack of varnish on the base, see photos (see red arrows).

* Joseph Forest (1865-?)

is a French geographer and cartographer. In 1886, he founded his publishing house of maps and plans, world maps, globes, terrestrial and celestial spheres, paintings and wall maps for teaching at 17-19, rue de Buci in Paris and remains at 1, place du 13 October in Bagneux. Providers of schools since 1889 and approved by the Ministry of Education, he also proposed to his catalog a globe lighter. Appointed adviser of foreign trade of France in 1912, of which he regularly follows the works, he will be reappointed in this function in 1922.
