Metal medal (marked on the edge) representing the profile portrait of Louis XVIII king of France and Navarre, engraver Gayrard F. and signature of Puymaurin D.; on the back an inscription relating to the Pont de Libourne, the construction of which began in 1820, from the 19th century.
This medal is in good condition. Inscription in 12 lines on the reverse: PONT DE LIBOURNE / PREMIÈRE PIERRE / IT WAS POSTED ON AUGUST 25, 1820 / IN THE PRESENCE OF MR LE COMTE DE TOURNON / PREFECT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GIRONDE / LOUIS XVIII REGNANT / H. EX. COUNT SIMÉON AS MINISTER OF INTR / MR BECQUEY STATE ADVISOR DIRECTOR GENL / OF BRIDGES AND PAVEMENTS AND MINES / MR DESCHAMPS DIVISIONAL INSPECTOR / OF BRIDGES AND PAVEMENTS / WORKS DIRECTOR.
