Barograph called recorder barometer, with hygrometry, signed J. Gambs* in Lyon, in gilded brass and bevelled glasses, mechanism with 6 Vigil capsules, mahogany case, from the early 20th century.
This barograph is in good condition. It works but may need to be revised. Numbered inside. Marked "J. Gambs - 4 rue President Carnot - Lyon".
A note: some dirt b (light traces of oxidation), scratches on the wood, and wear of time, see photos.
* Joseph Gambs was an optician and manufacturer of precision instruments for science and industry from Lyon. He moved to the center of Lyon in 1903. He can be found at 8 Place des Jacobins, in the former home of the Boulades Brothers, who also specialized in the manufacture of precision instruments, and later at 4 rue Président- Carnot.
