Léon Nicolas was a representative of the Simonin-Cuny company, while Charles Keller, originally from Munich, had settled in France at the end of the 19th century. Business began in 1904, the same year that saw the creation of RT (Revenaz et Tabernat) and JJF (Jeux Jouets Français), JJF resulting from a merger of companies (MD, SC, etc.). From 1904 to 1924, the year management was transferred to Georges Bonnet (GB), the NK company produced a wide variety of games, including puzzle boxes filled with brain teasers and small skill games.
