Superb and rare vase stony mixture signed Hilbert *, decorated with antique of a woman playing the lyre with a dog, a lion and a boar, on the other side a woman lying near a snake and a three-headed dog (Cerberus); on the sides ondin a horse (fish-tailed) and a fish, Art Deco period around 1920 twentieth century.
This vase is in very good condition. It is signed on one side.

sculptor. He studied at the Decorative Arts and the School of Fine Arts. He received in 1925 the Gold Medal of the Exhibition of Decorative Arts. Especially animal sculptor, he has gained an international reputation. He sculpts in direct carving. Blumenthal Prize in 1927, he exhibited his works in many countriesa Europe and America and is in museums. He is an associate of the Salon d'Automne since 1925. In 1973 he received the Grand Prix du Salon of French Artists, and was elected to the Academy of Fine Arts. (Extract Bénézit)
