Large cloakroom, coat rack and umbrella stand, in cast iron signed Corneau* Frères Charleville, composed of seven coat hooks and a small central oval mirror, arm with a leaf motif, all surmounted by a beautiful flowered basket in the upper part, from the Art Nouveau period at the end of the 19th century.

This locker room is in its own juice. Good quality, very decorative. Signed and numbered (15) on the back.

A note: dirt, slight shocks and wear of time, take a good look at the photos.

* Horn:

Partners since 1846, the Corneau brothers, Alfred (1825-1886) and Emile (1826-1906), settled ten years later in the Petit-Bois district of Charleville, at the current location of the Deville factory. In 1859, set up in their small factory, a former ironwork workshop, two cupolas, in order to devote themselves to the foundry of second fusion. This new activity was then booming in the north of the Ardennes department. Employing 300 employees in the early 1890s, the former Corneau Frères factory specialized in “household and ornamental cast iron and heating appliances”. Among the Ardennes foundries of the time, the Petit-Bois foundry stood out for its production of beautiful cast iron objects, including magnificent umbrella stands, benches, vases, and funerary crosses.
