Officer's trunk, known as captain's trunk, made of camphor wood*, plates, nails, reinforcements, handles and lock in gilded brass, monogram on the lid, covered in leather, 19th century.
This trunk is in good condition. We don't have its key.
Please note: small holes at the back of the trunk, some bumps and scratches, some stains on the leather and wear from time, take a good look at the photos.
* The camphor tree is a tree of the Lauraceae family, from which camphor is extracted by distillation of its wood. The wood of the camphor tree, whose particular odor lasts for several years, has fungicidal properties that keep moths away. For this reason, it was long used for the manufacture of trunks to transport furs and clothing.
