Reading cabinet or music stand, forming a lectern in the upper part and a music compartment in the lower part, made of rosewood or mahogany, with two shelves in the central part, and opening to a drawer in the lower part; the uprights are made of turned wood, with two small pull-outs on the sides of the stand, mounted on wheeled feet, from the Napoleon III period, 19th century.
This piece of furniture is in good condition and of high quality. Its design is particularly interesting: the music stand is adjustable and tiltable, and it features two small brass clips for holding book pages or sheet music. Below, there are two storage shelves and then small vertical compartments that can be used as magazine or sheet music holders.
Please note: this piece of furniture has been restored in places, small missing piece of wood on one leg (see red arrow), scratches on the leather of the pulls, wear and tear of time, see photos.
