Pen holder in agate and silver gilt (ram's head hallmark) finely chiseled with plant arabesques, signed Mallat* Breveté, from the 19th century.

This pen holder is in good condition, good quality. The nib is retractable, signed see photos.

* Mallat is a brand founded by Jean Benoit Mallat in 1842. Often known for its erasers, the company specialized in writing instruments, nibs, pen holders, fountain pens, and of course erasers. Jean Benoit Mallat invented the Siphoïde Fountain Pen (with a piston filling system) in 1864.
