Small Pigeon Shooting Cup or Trophy, made by the City of Biarritz in 1912, in solid English silver hallmarked Mappin & Webb* London 1911, round base decorated with 3 rifles, body adorned with the enameled coat of arms of the city of Biarritz, from the very beginning of the 20th century.
This cup is in good condition, very high quality. Hallmarked on the rim and signed on the base (see photos).
Please note: it is slightly tilted, has light soiling, some scratches and wear consistent with age, see photos.
* Mappin & Webb is a company originally founded in Sheffield, England. The company is a renowned firm of silversmiths and cutlery makers whose origins date back to 1774 when Joseph Mappin (SNR) founded the firm.
