Large Aubusson tapestry depicting a couple during a gallant scene (decoration called "Green Galant" *), in a green landscape, probably the park of a beautiful house with the mill in the foreground, rich decorated border of several Bacchus with bunches of grapes, birds, fruit cups and plant friezes, eighteenth century.
This tapestry is in good condition and is very decorative. It is doubled and has its fastening rings.
A report: tiny small tears at the rings on the outer edge, some wear time, look at the pictures.

* Green Galant: Entrepreneurial man towards women. The origin of this expression dates back to the sixteenth century when a gallant was a daring man. In the seventeenth century, the expression went into the love domain to designate an enterprising man. Green symbolizes vigor.
