Founded in 1906, at 22 place Vendôme, Van Cleef & Arpels was born following the marriage in 1895 of Alfred Van Cleef and Estelle Arpels. At this prestigious address, she demonstrated very early on her incredible expertise in the world of jewelery. Van Cleef & Arpels, part of the Richemont Group since 2000, continues a highly recognizable style. Her jewelery and watchmaking creations are inspired by Nature, Couture or Imaginaire.
French-Swiss manufacturer and watchmaker. The name Utinam is Latin and means "God willing". The UTI company with the Utinam factory was founded around 1908 by Georges Meyer. Around 1918, Henri Blum was appointed director in Besançon. A few years later, his brother Eugène Fernand Blum joined him at UTI-Utinam. After Henri Blum's death in 1937, Eugène Fernand Blum became director. After the war 39-45, UTI SA Paris becomes wholesaler and imports Swiss wristwatches, Swiza watches but also table clocks by Warmink WUBA, Breitling watches, Pronto Watch Co., Glycine etc. The Unitam factory was then only an assembly company. The UTI company existed until 1984.
