Watercolor of a small factory in the town of Poligny in the Jura (eastern France), Louis signed and dated 1965 * Bissinger, vintage twentieth century.

This watercolor is in good condition and its sign is cadre.Elle, dated and annotated below.

A note: tiny little hole in the paper at the sky (barely visible).

* Louis Bissinger (1899-1978): in the Dauphiné region that is dear to him, he met many painters and frequent Lyon and became friends with Giacomino, Anselm, ABEL GAY, Romagna, and Miss SUDAN REIGNIER with which it shares the same admiration for the painter RAVIER. Some works of Louis Bissinger is signed "Berard" or "Regis Berard," Berard pseudonymegis ", pseudonym he used often. He participates after the 1939-1945 war in numerous exhibitions. He won the first Prize of the City Lyon in 1945. During the war, he was arrested and deported in a camp where he returns to the release. From this trip, he made some watercolors. In 1950, he leaves to live Morestel called the City of Painters. This Town becomes his adopted country. He worked there until 1960. Meanwhile, he won the 1st Prize Friends of the Arts in Grenoble in 1954. The French State and the Army Museum, crowning his success with the acquisition of several of his works in 1957. After several stays in Franche-Comte with his wife Yvette (especially in Lons-le-Saunier in the Jura with his friends and antique Miss M.Luigi) but also in Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne in the Marne.
